The Secret Spitfires is a TV documentary detailing how the British were building Spitfires in secret when Nazi Germany assumed the manufacturing capability had been reduced to rubble. A workforce mainly made up of unskilled young girls, boys, women and a handful of engineers managed to build over 2000 Spitfires hidden in sheds, garages, back gardens, a bus depot and a hotel.
